Fleet of 50 Vehicles with DPF 4600LX

What is your core business?

The core of our business focuses heavily on digitally printed wraps for commercial vehicles. Our business also focuses on computer-cut graphics for larger commercial fleet vehicles.

Why did you decided to use DPF 4600LX for this project?

We chose Arlon DPF 4600LX for this project because we knew it could withstand the very high temperatures we experience in Malta during the summertime months. In some cases, the temperatures go up to 39°C (in the shade, not in direct sunlight), and so the wraps would be in extremely high temperatures in the peak of the day. We decided to use DPF 4600LX with Series 3410G overlaminate because of its competitive market price. The film was also perfect for this type of vehicle since it has moderate curves with mostly at body parts.

What Are Specific Features That You Liked about the Film(s)?

We loved using DPF 4600LX because of the film's elasticity during the application process. The ink doesn't lose density when it is being stretched which is really important in maintaining the look of the graphics.

How Many Vehicles Were Wrapped in Total?

We wrapped 50 vehicles using Arlon DPF 4600LX.

How Long Did Each Wrap Take? How Many People Were Involved with Each Wrap?

Every wrap is different depending on the type of vehicle used and since we had a variety of vehicles for this project each wrap took a different amount of time. Most of the vehicles required some disassembly and then had to be reassembled after the installation, adding time to the process. The majority of the jobs were installed by 1 person only, while some required the use of 2 people.

What Printer and Inks Did You Use?

All graphics were printed using a Mutoh Valuejet 1624 Eco-Solvent printer with Mutoh Eco-Solvent OEM inks.
